Port Said Governor oversees urban development and university initiatives

Port Said Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon is overseeing several urban development and educational initiatives within the governorate. A major focus is the renovation of Al-Masalla Park (Martyrs' Square) in the East District. Spanning approximately 33,000 square meters, the project includes new landscaping, LED-equipped decorative seating, marble interlock pedestrian paths, acacia tree planting, and a dancing fountain. The governor emphasized preserving the site’s historical identity, including the statue of الفريق Abdel Moneim Riad, with the first phase expected to conclude next month for an opening on December 23.

Additionally, the governor is monitoring infrastructure improvements in the Al-Manakh district and development projects in the ‘Tea Bank’ and ‘Yellow Manufacturing’ areas of the Al-Dawahy district. In the educational sector, Governor Abu Limon participated in a Port Said University council meeting to discuss academic development and strengthen the partnership between the governorate’s executive bodies and the university to support regional development.
