Port Said launches major urban development and infrastructure projects

Authorities in Port Said are conducting extensive urban development and maintenance operations across several districts. In Port Said, executive agencies are working to improve road systems, public utilities, and cleanliness while addressing citizen complaints and removing unauthorized encroachments.

In the Port Fuad area, efforts are focused on expanding green spaces and upgrading main and secondary roads, including the installation of new curbs and landscaping. In the Al-Sharq district, teams are clearing debris from storm drain cleaning to ensure efficient drainage systems. Meanwhile, the Al-Arab district is seeing field patrols to restore public order.

A major integrated infrastructure project is underway in the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab area of the Al-Zuhour district. Costing 270 million EGP, the project covers 250,000 square meters and includes 168 residential buildings with 3,984 units, serving approximately 16,000 citizens. Supervised by the Sinai Reconstruction Authority, the project has reached an 80% completion rate for internal road paving. The development includes upgrading sewage networks, installing new street lighting, improving storm water drainage, and renovating building facades to enhance the area's visual identity.
