Port Stephens police seek dashcam footage after pedestrian hit by vehicle

Police are investigating an incident in Port Stephens where a 20-year-old man was struck by a utility vehicle on Nelson Bay Road near Coxs Lane at Fullerton Cove. The accident occurred around 5:40 am on October 24 during heavy fog.

Emergency responders, including paramedics and a Westpac Rescue Helicopter critical care medical team, treated the man at the scene for suspected fractures. He was subsequently transported to John Hunter Hospital by ambulance.

A 65-year-old driver of the vehicle tested negative for impairments at the scene. Port Stephens police have established a crime scene and are requesting dashcam footage from witnesses to assist with their inquiries.
