Portable and Charles Okocha to clash in Lagos boxing rematch on July 31

Nigerian street‑pop artist Portable and actor‑turned‑boxer Charles Okocha are gearing up for a highly publicised rematch scheduled for 31 July in Lagos under the Chaos in the Ring 4 banner. Okocha is training with WBO Intercontinental heavyweight champion Moses Itauma, while Portable is preparing alongside WBA Africa lightweight champion Taiwo “Esehpo” Agbaje. The bout follows Portable’s unanimous‑decision victory in their first encounter and was confirmed after a press conference that descended into a physical altercation, prompting promoters to invoke a rematch clause.

In addition to the Okocha fight, Portable has publicly challenged fellow singer Terry G to a boxing match, claiming a single bout would revive Terry G’s career. He also announced a planned 2026 international music tour covering the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa. Portable said he has already received ₦50 million of a total ₦150 million purse for the upcoming fight.
