Portadown police investigate man found dead in burning car
Police have launched an investigation after a man's body was discovered inside a burning vehicle in the Harford Street area of Portadown, County Armagh. The incident occurred on Saturday night, August 8, at approximately 10:00 PM.
Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. Ammunition Technical Officers were also called to the site to conduct enquiries, though authorities stated there is no ongoing risk to the public.
The fire caused significant damage to the vehicle and resulted in scorch damage and smashed windows at a neighboring property. The man found inside the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death, and investigators are working to establish the cause of the fire.
