Porter Aviation Holdings explores South American expansion in Paraguay
Paraguayan President Santiago Peña met with executives from Porter Aviation Holdings, including Michael and Robert Deluce, to discuss investment opportunities aimed at improving air connectivity for passengers and cargo. The meeting also included Peter Bradley of Javelin Global Commodities.
Porter Airlines, which currently operates in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, is exploring potential expansion into South America. While no specific routes or dates have been announced, the discussions focused on how increased direct flights could benefit Paraguay by facilitating tourism, supporting international events, and providing better logistical services for exporting companies.
Paraguayan officials, including the Minister of Industry and the head of the National Civil Aviation Directorate (Dinac), participated in the talks to evaluate how such connectivity could integrate the country more effectively into global markets.
