Portezuelo receives temporary ambulance following emergency vehicle shortage
In Portezuelo, La Rioja, local health authorities have provided a temporary solution to a critical shortage of emergency vehicles. Following public concern from residents and medical staff regarding the lack of a functional ambulance at the local hospital, an emergency unit from the 107 service was deployed to the area.
The need for a dedicated unit became evident after a recent accident occurred near Portezuelo while no local ambulance was available, and the nearest unit from Malanzán was already occupied transporting another patient. The temporary deployment aims to ensure emergency responses and patient transfers can continue while the hospital's original unit undergoes repairs.
