Portillo brothers aim for Los Angeles 2028 Olympics

Brothers Jair and Erick Portillo are high-performance high jump athletes aiming to compete together at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. They are beneficiaries of the Meta Olímpica CUU program, an initiative driven by the Chihuahua Municipal Government designed to support athletes with Olympic projections.

The brothers share a competitive relationship that began in childhood through various activities and has evolved into professional high jump competition. While they support each other technically during training and competitions, they maintain a professional rivalry when competing for medals or podium positions, as seen during the 2024 National competition.
