Portimão Grand Prix 2027 date expected soon

The FIA is expected to announce the official date for the 2027 Portimão Grand Prix once the upcoming season's calendar is finalized. The Algarve region is scheduled to host Formula 1 races in both 2027 and 2028, fulfilling a commitment made by Luís Montenegro.

Government estimates suggest the event could attract approximately 200,000 visitors annually, including 150,000 spectators—over half of whom are expected to be international. The Portuguese Minister of Economy previously projected an economic impact of at least 140 million euros per year, asserting that tax revenues from the associated economic activity would exceed the state's costs.
