Portimonense signs Russian defender Georgii Tunguliiadi

Portimonense, a club competing in the Portuguese II Liga, has signed 21-year-old Russian defender Georgii Tunguliiadi to a three-season contract, which includes an option for two additional years.

Tunguliiadi joins the Algarve-based club from Estrela da Amadora, where he played for the B and U-23 teams before making two appearances with the main squad. During his presentation at the Portimão Municipal Stadium, the defender expressed his desire for more playing time and noted his preference for playing as a right-back, though he is also capable of playing as a center-back.

His previous footballing background includes training at Lokomotiv Moscow, Spartak Moscow, and FK Sochi in Russia, as well as time with Rayo Vallecano in Spain. Tunguliiadi is the 15th reinforcement for Portimonense for the 2026/27 season.
