Angel Reese sidelined as Atlanta Dream lose to Portland Fire

Star forward Angel Reese suffered an ankle/leg injury late in the Dream's July 9 victory over the Seattle Storm and was listed as questionable for the next game. She was ruled out for the Saturday matchup with the Portland Fire, and Atlanta fell 102‑92 despite a 20‑point effort from Allisha Gray and a career‑high 19 points from Madina Okot. Portland posted seven players in double figures, led by Megan Gustafson's 17 points.

Before the Monday game against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Dream listed Reese as questionable, leaving her status uncertain. Veteran forward Brionna Jones also remained doubtful with a knee injury. The Sparks entered the contest missing Cameron Brink and Kelsey Plum, also sidelined with injuries.
