Portland Hearts of Pine defeat Westchester SC 2-1
The Portland Hearts of Pine secured a 2-1 USL League One victory against Westchester SC on Sunday night, marking their first league win since July 3. The match, held at Fitzpatrick Stadium before a crowd of 6,224, extended the team's consecutive sellout streak to 35 games.
Portland initially took a 1-0 lead via an 11th-minute penalty kick by Diego Gonzalez. However, Westchester SC equalized in the 67th minute following a defensive error. The win was ultimately secured by a critical save from Hearts goalkeeper Hunter Morse during stoppage time, which USL League One social media described as the best save in the league's history since its inception in 2019.
Aboubacar Camara provided the decisive goal for Portland, scoring after receiving a pass from Jay Tee Kamara.
