Portland, Maine was ranked the 10th‑best city in the United States for staycations in WalletHub’s survey of 182 cities, making it the highest‑ranked destination in the Northeast. The city earned a total score of 58.36 out of 100, based on three categories: recreation (second‑highest ranking nationwide), food & entertainment (37th), and rest & relaxation (86th).
