Portland, Maine sees new restaurant openings and commercial space listings

The Boulos Company released its August 2026 Portland Food Map, a commercial‑real‑estate guide that lists dozens of restaurant‑suitable spaces across Portland, Maine, with details on size, price and current occupants. Listings include a 2,602 sq ft building on Congress Street for $850,000, a 1,619 sq ft retail space at 785 Congress St for $23 per sq ft (NNN), and several other units ranging from small cafe spaces to large former dining rooms.

Separately, the Veranda Group announced it has leased 425 Fore Street in the Old Port to open a new restaurant, adding to its existing Veranda Thai locations in Portland and Westbrook. The move follows a prior 2015 expansion into the Old Port that later became Old Port Noodle House. No official name or opening date for the new venue has been disclosed.
