Portland Thorns and Gotham FC draw 1-1 in NWSL matchup

The Portland Thorns and Gotham FC played to a 1-1 draw in the National Women’s Soccer League. Jaedyn Shaw opened the scoring for Gotham in the 61st minute with a chip from outside the penalty area following a pass from Sam Kerr. Portland equalized in the 75th minute when Sophia Wilson converted a penalty kick, which was awarded after a video review showed Jaelin Howell stepping on Pietra Tordin. Both teams extended their unbeaten streaks, with Gotham reaching 10 games without a loss.

In another NWSL match, the San Diego Wave secured a 3-2 comeback victory against Racing Louisville. Despite falling behind 2-0 early due to goals from Lauren Milliet and Taylor Flint, the Wave rallied with two goals from Trinity Byars. Kenza Dali scored the winning goal in the 80th minute to complete the turnaround.
