Portland Trail Blazers sign Caleb Houstan to Exhibit 10 contract

The Portland Trail Blazers have signed veteran forward Caleb Houstan to an Exhibit 10 contract. The move is intended to eventually place Houstan with the Rip City Remix, Portland’s G League affiliate.

Houstan, the 32nd overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, brings four years of NBA experience to the organization, having played three seasons with the Orlando Magic and one with the Atlanta Hawks. During his career, he has appeared in 186 regular-season games, notably shooting 37.8 percent from three-point range.

Because Houstan has four years of service, he is no longer eligible for a two-way contract. However, the Exhibit 10 deal allows him to earn a bonus of up to $91,000 if he remains with the Remix for at least 60 days. The signing does not require a corresponding roster move, as the Blazers currently have three open spots on their preseason squad.
