Porto Alegre and Ponta Grossa municipal job contests open for applications

The municipality of Porto Alegre announced the opening of a public competition for five municipal inspection agent positions (code CP 874). The edital, managed by Fundação La Salle, reserves one slot for a Black candidate, one for a person with disability and includes a reserve list for transgender and travesti applicants. Registrations run from 7 July to 5 August 2026, with the objective exam scheduled for 27 September 2026.

Ponta Grossa’s city hall published a separate competition to hire one anti‑endemic agent and more than 50 community health agents. The edital, overseen by Instituto UniFil, offers a salary of R$ 3,242 plus a food allowance of R$ 624.84. Applications are accepted from 29 June to 29 July 2026, and the written exam will be held on 30 August 2026. Both contests aim to strengthen local urban regulation, sanitation, and primary health services.

The two announcements reflect ongoing municipal recruitment efforts across Brazil’s southern states, targeting urban planning, environmental oversight, and basic health care delivery.
