Porto Alegre em Cena festival hosts major performing arts event

The Porto Alegre em Cena festival, one of Latin America’s largest performing arts festivals, is currently taking place in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Now in its 33rd edition, the event utilizes 13 different venues, ranging from traditional theaters to independent spaces and public squares.

Tickets for this year’s edition have seen high demand, with half of the available tickets selling out within 24 hours of the virtual box office opening. The festival features several notable productions, including works from Pernambuco such as ‘Imorais’ and ‘Pela Noite’, as well as performances starring Taís Araújo, Bete Coelho, Camila Pitanga, Danielle Winits, and Grace Gianoukas.
