Porto Alegre implements mobile speed enforcement operation

The Public Company for Transport and Circulation (EPTC) is conducting 'Operação Radar' in Porto Alegre from September 7 to September 13. This electronic surveillance task force uses portable speed meters across various shifts—morning, afternoon, and night—to monitor major avenues.

Targeted locations include critical mobility corridors such as Avenida Assis Brasil, Bento Gonçalves, and Ipiranga, among others. The operation is based on technical studies aimed at reducing traffic accidents and casualties. Drivers can access an interactive map via the EPTC Transparente portal or use the Waze app to identify mobile control points and speed limits.
