Porto Book Fair introduces international guests for 13th edition

The 13th edition of the Porto Book Fair (FLP) is expanding its scope by introducing international guests for the first time. Taking place between August 21 and September 6 at the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal, the festival aims to position the city within major contemporary cultural discussions.

The program features over 200 activities, including a “Conversation Cycle” held at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library. This year, the event honors the Porto poet Inês Lourenço. International participants include the Mexican poet muxe de Juchitán de Zaragoza, who will discuss transgender rights on August 27, and Palestinian writer and journalist Mohammed El-Kurd, scheduled to speak on August 28.
