Porto de Mós acquires Campo da Fiandeira for new green park

The Municipality of Porto de Mós has completed the acquisition of the former Campo da Fiandeira in Mira de Aire to develop a new green eco-park. The purchase of the approximately 10,000 square meter site cost 120,000 euros.

The property was acquired from two state entities: 58% from the Instituto de Gestão Financeira da Segurança Social (IGFSS) and 42% from Estamo, a public company managing state real estate. The transaction concludes a bureaucratic process that began in 2017.

The planned eco-park, intended for leisure and recreation, is estimated to require an investment of approximately 1.5 million euros. The municipality aims to launch the tender process for the project in 2026. This development is expected to revitalize the central area of Mira de Aire and provide new public spaces for the local population.
