Police activity and criminal incidents reported in Maceió and Porto

In Maceió, Brazil, a confrontation between agents from the Municipal Department of Transport and Traffic (DMTT) and a delivery worker in the Jatiúca neighborhood has sparked social media outrage. Reports and videos indicate the worker was knocked off his motorcycle during the intervention, with some accounts alleging the use of pepper spray.

In a separate incident in Maceió, a woman wanted by the courts was apprehended in the Jacintinho neighborhood. She was identified by a public security totem's facial recognition system while walking on Avenida Cleto Campelo, leading to her arrest by the Military Police.

In Porto, Portugal, a 33-year-old man was detained by the Judicial Police (PJ) on suspicion of attempted homicide. The suspect, a ride-share driver, allegedly used his vehicle to deliberately run over two customers following a dispute. During his arrest, authorities also found him in possession of approximately thirty counterfeit bank cards and skimming equipment.
