Porto Empedocle man removed from home following domestic abuse allegations

A 42-year-old man from Porto Empedocle has been ordered by an Agrigento judge to leave his family home following allegations of domestic abuse and personal injury. The investigation, coordinated by prosecutor Denise Venturino, examines a pattern of behavior that reportedly began in 2023.

According to the prosecution, the man subjected his wife and three daughters to insults, humiliations, and violent outbursts, often influenced by alcohol and drugs. The investigation highlights a severe incident on August 4, where the man allegedly followed his wife and daughters into the street after a domestic dispute. He reportedly attacked his eldest daughter, who was a minor at the time, with kicks and punches, resulting in an elbow injury that required ten days of medical prognosis.

Judge Agata Anna Genna has imposed several restrictive measures to protect the victims, including a prohibition on approaching the family within a 1,000-meter radius and a ban on all forms of communication via telephone or social media. The man will also be monitored via an electronic bracelet.
