Porto Ferreira security forces intensify drug trafficking combat

Security forces in Porto Ferreira have reinforced their commitment to combating drug trafficking, identifying it as a primary municipal priority. The Secretary of Security and Urban Mobility, Colonel Daniel, alongside Civil Police Delegate Dr. Alexandre, highlighted the integrated efforts between the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), the Military Police, and the Civil Police.

Recent operations led to the arrest of two individuals caught in the act of drug trafficking on September 21, 2026. Authorities are specifically monitoring the use of motorcycles for drug delivery services. Law enforcement noted that regional integration is crucial, as recent operations have apprehended criminals from neighboring municipalities, including São Carlos, Descalvado, and Pirassununga, who were attempting to source drugs in Porto Ferreira for distribution in their own communities.
