Porto Mendes hosts 2nd Balneário running race this Sunday

The 2nd Porto Mendes Balneário Race is scheduled to take place this Sunday at the Porto Mendes Leisure and Tourism Park. Organized by the Associação Saúde Nota 10, the event expects to gather approximately 700 adult athletes, 300 children, and various walkers.

The initiative aims to encourage sports practice, promote health and well-being, and strengthen community integration. The program includes races for athletes with disabilities, 4 km and 8 km categories, walking, youth categories (Sub-12 and Sub-15), and a kids' race.

Due to the event, traffic on Avenida Capitão Heitor Mendes will be closed this Sunday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Drivers are advised to use Rua Artur Bernardes as a parallel route to access the docking area outside the park.
