Porto Nacional court annuls municipal employee appointment

A court in Porto Nacional has annulled the appointment of a municipal employee who assumed her position without meeting the specific educational requirements outlined in the public contest notice. The employee, an agent for real estate appraisal, took office in December 2017 but did not complete the required Technical Course in Real Estate Transactions until March 2018.

Although the defense argued that the employee's degree in Civil Engineering provided equivalent or superior qualifications, Judge Elias Rodrigues dos Santos ruled that the specific technical training required by law and the public notice could not be substituted. The decision aims to uphold the principles of legality and equality in public administration.
