Porto Recanati mourns the death of physician Maurizio Vitali

The community of Porto Recanati is mourning the death of Maurizio Vitali, a highly respected family doctor who passed away at the age of 58 following a battle with an illness. Vitali, a graduate of the University of Perugia, had been a prominent medical figure in the Macerata area since 1997.

Mayor Andrea Michelini expressed deep condolences, describing Vitali as an esteemed professional and a point of reference for the community, noted specifically for his humanity and availability. Local residents and patients have shared tributes characterizing him as a dedicated, old-school physician who was always available to visit patients at home, even while facing his own health challenges.

Beyond his medical practice, Vitali was deeply involved in local community life, having served as president and vice president of the Polisportiva Silla sports club.
