Porto region prepares for Christmas festivities and seasonal offerings

Various venues in the Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia regions are launching seasonal Christmas programs.

World of Wonders (WOW) in Vila Nova de Gaia will host a festive season starting November 21 and running until January 6. The event features seven kilometers of lights along the southern bank of the Douro River, live music, a giant tree, and multimedia video mapping. Activities include a Parisian-style carousel, a dedicated Kids Zone, and a gastronomic market offering regional snacks and local crafts. Entry to the space is free.

In Porto, the YOTEL Porto's Vela restaurant has introduced a Christmas buffet menu designed for corporate groups and friends of 15 to 50 people. The two-hour buffet includes a variety of cold and hot appetizers, such as octopus salad and traditional Portuguese savory snacks, followed by a choice of main courses like codfish or stuffed pork loin. The menu also features seasonal desserts and includes beverages for a fixed price per person.
