Porto San Giorgio opposition seeks clarity on new seafront testing

The Democratic Party (PD) opposition group in Porto San Giorgio has submitted a formal inquiry to the local administration regarding the testing and certification of the new southern seafront. Although the public works project was reportedly completed and delivered in April, the opposition claims there has been a lack of transparency concerning the status of the testing process.

The PD has raised concerns regarding the quality of the construction, citing aesthetic and functional issues such as the absence of a full sidewalk, replaced instead by painted stripes, and a lack of tactile paths. They also noted ongoing issues with vehicle encroachment on pedestrian areas and frequent flooding. The inquiry seeks to determine if any discrepancies were found during testing and what the administrative or accounting consequences might be if the project fails to receive official certification.
