Porto Santo charity golf tournament raises funds for cancer league

A charity golf tournament was held in Porto Santo, organized jointly by the Porto Santo Development Society and the Madeira delegation of the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC). The event attracted 48 participants and aimed to promote both social solidarity and the role of sports in disease prevention.

Through registration fees and generous donations, including 1,500 euros from FN Hotelaria via João Abel de Freitas, the LPCC Madeira raised approximately 3,000 euros. During the event, the LPCC honored João Abel de Freitas, Paulina Sousa, and Engineer Carreira for their ongoing support of the tournament.

In the competition, Nuno Henriques won the gross score with 69 strokes (-3 par). The net score winners included Santiago Câmara (or Salvador Câmara) followed by Miguel Pereira and Cristian. Other honors went to Nicolau Rodrigues for the junior category, Ashley Williams for closest to the pin, and Santiago Câmara for longest drive.
