Porto Seguro and Guarapari expect record July tourist arrivals

Porto Seguro expects to host 339,869 visitors in July, an 11.08% rise over the same period in 2025. The municipal tourism office projects 55,372 vehicles, 150,080 air passengers, 21,232 bus travelers and additional passengers via other transport modes. The surge is linked to school holidays, beach‑sun tourism, whale‑watching, bird‑watching, rural tours and cultural festivals.

Guarapari forecasts more than 200,000 tourists for the July school break. The city’s tourism secretary cites a weighted average hotel occupancy of 44.45%, translating to about 100,000 overnight guests plus roughly 50,000 weekend visitors from nearby areas. The influx is driven by the 10‑day Winter Festival, the Ferradura mountain route, whale‑watching season and sunny beach days. Both destinations anticipate the visitor flow to bolster local economies and sustain tourism‑related businesses.
