Feira de Santana draws with Santanópolis in Intermunicipal debut

The Feira de Santana selection team debuted in the 2026 Intermunicipal Championship with a 0-0 draw against Santanópolis at the Almeidão Municipal Stadium. Despite controlling much of the match and creating several opportunities through players like Iago Sá, the team was unable to score, largely due to strong performances by Santanópolis goalkeeper Lek.

In preparation for the tournament, the Feira de Santana team also introduced new uniforms and announced key partnerships. Aniory Sport will provide the kits, while ACore3 Tecnologia has been named the master sponsor. The team is led by a new technical commission headed by coach Luiz Cláudio.

Following the match, coach Luiz Cláudio expressed disappointment with the result, noting that while the team maintained dominance, they lacked effectiveness in finishing plays. He indicated that training sessions will focus on improving offensive performance and managing player fatigue caused by the heat and the synthetic pitch.
