Porto to convert former Ágora building into Civil Protection headquarters
The Porto City Council, through the municipal company GO Porto, has opened a public tender to remodel the former Ágora–Cultura e Desporto building in the Pasteleira area. The facility, located on Rua de Bartolomeu Velho, is designated to become the new headquarters for Porto's Municipal Civil Protection.
The renovation project has a base price of 365,000 euros and an estimated execution period of 240 days. The works will focus on the internal reorganization and adaptation of existing office spaces, including the installation of new infrastructure, lighting, changing rooms, a pantry area, and new interior partitions for offices and rest zones.
The building will house various branches of the Civil Protection services, including the Municipal Directorate, the Municipal Division of Civil Protection and Risk Mitigation (DMPMR), the Municipal Civil Protection Service (SMPC), and a picket room. The facility is expected to accommodate more than 100 workstations.
