Porto Velho launches inclusion project for atypical families
The Porto Velho Municipal Secretariat for Inclusion and Social Assistance (Semias) participated in a protection network action in the Baixo Madeira region. Coordinated by the Court of Justice of Rondônia (TJRO), the initiative brought together various institutions, including the Public Ministry, Public Defender's Office, and local police forces, to serve the districts of São Carlos, Santa Catarina, and Calama.
As part of the action, Semias implemented the ‘Laços de Inclusão’ (Inclusion Bonds) project. This initiative focuses on strengthening ties with atypical families, specifically those caring for individuals with disabilities or other specific needs. The project provides psychological support, guidance, and information to ensure social protection and the guarantee of rights for these communities.
