Porto Velho launches integrity program to combat corruption
The Porto Velho City Hall has launched an Integrity Program aimed at promoting ethical, transparent, and responsible management practices. The initiative seeks to establish clear rules and procedures to prevent irregularities and ensure the correct use of public resources.
The Public Ministry of Rondônia (MPRO) participated in the launch, with prosecutor Alzir Marques Cavalcante Júnior noting that the program provides an opportunity to expand corruption prevention and control measures within the municipality. The MPRO is part of a Public Management Governance Network that includes the Federal Police, the Office of the Comptroller General, and various state and federal audit courts, working together to encourage municipalities to adopt integrity programs.
