Portogruaro Hospital acquires high-end ultrasound equipment

Portogruaro Hospital has introduced a high-end ultrasound machine in its Radiology department to improve diagnostic capabilities for various organs and tissues. The equipment, representing an investment of approximately 118,000 euros, features high-definition probes for examining the breast, thyroid, and lymph nodes, as well as a dedicated probe for blood vessels.

Specialized software allows for painless, needle-free assessment of liver stiffness and fat content. The new setup also includes a wireless portable probe for bedside use and a kit to assist in precise ultrasound-guided tissue biopsies.

This acquisition is part of a broader regional investment program to renew ultrasound equipment across several hospitals. The total program includes the purchase of five new machines for the hospitals in Portogruaro, San Donà di Piave, and Jesolo, with a total value of approximately 678,000 euros.
