Portola Music Festival celebrates fifth year at San Francisco’s Pier 80

The fifth annual Portola Music Festival took place at Pier 80 in San Francisco during the weekend of September 26, 2026. Organized by Goldenvoice, the event utilizes the city’s industrial waterfront to host a genre-diverse electronic music experience.

This year’s lineup included major artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Fatboy Slim, Tiësto, JT, and Zara Larsson. The festival features five stages across the shipyard, including the Pier and Crane stages, which offer open-air settings amidst the local maritime landscape.

The festival’s name pays homage to the 1909 Portola Festival, which marked San Francisco’s recovery after the 1906 earthquake. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience Despacio, a concept focused on high-quality sound immersion without traditional visual spectacles like large LED walls or DJ-centric staging.
