Two young men die in separate maritime accidents in Italy and Croatia

Two separate maritime tragedies involving young men have been reported in Italy and Croatia.

In Croatia, 21-year-old Leonardo Bucci from Montevarchi died while vacationing on Pag Island. Following a jet-ski excursion near Novalja, Bucci failed to return to his group. His jet-ski was found intact near the shore, and his body was subsequently recovered in the water near Caska Bay. Croatian authorities are investigating the cause of death, including the possibility of a sudden medical emergency.

In Italy, the body of 21-year-old Sebastiano Piaggi was recovered near Portovenere after he went missing during a boat party on Ferragosto. Piaggi was reportedly thrown from a rubber dinghy into the sea, possibly due to waves caused by another vessel. While a companion managed to resurface, Piaggi remained missing for several days until his body was found near the Byron Grotto. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
