Ports in Cabo San Lucas and Topolobampo reopen after Hurricane Polo
Maritime activities are resuming at several ports following the movement of Hurricane Polo. The port of Cabo San Lucas reopened on Tuesday, September 29, allowing for the resumption of maritime activities including sport fishing. However, authorities warned that the reopening may be temporary due to the projected path of tropical storm Rachel, which could strengthen into a Category 2 hurricane and approach the area by Friday.
Similarly, the port of Topolobampo in Sinaloa reopened to all types of vessels on Wednesday, September 30, as the remnants of Hurricane Polo moved toward Sonora. While the port is open, authorities have maintained restrictions on leaving the bay and continue to monitor weather conditions to ensure safety during maneuvers.
