Portugal advances heritage and educational infrastructure projects

Restoration works are underway at the Concatedral of Miranda do Douro, a National Monument since 1910. Managed by Património Cultural, I. P., the project involves the rehabilitation, requalification, and conservation of religious heritage and roofing systems. The intervention is funded by 1.25 million euros through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

In Mourão, the local municipality has initiated a 100,000 euro requalification project for the Mediateca of the Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Libânio Esquível. The works aim to benefit preschool children through the construction of new rooms, improved sanitary facilities, the installation of digital boards, and the upgrading of play and recreation areas.
