Portugal and Andorra aim to deepen trade ties with new business missions
Portuguese consul general in Andorra, Duarte Pinto da Rocha, said the economic relationship between Portugal and Andorra has a "very wide field of expansion possibilities" and called for new bilateral business missions to boost trade and investment. He highlighted tourism as a key sector for cooperation and suggested that future delegations could include professional training and hotel‑management exchanges.
The proposal follows a May 20 meeting between Andorran Prime Minister Xavier Espot and Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro during the Portuguese premier’s official visit to Andorra. At that summit, both leaders recalled a 2024 Andorran business delegation led by Minister Conxita Marsol that visited Portugal to explore opportunities. They discussed sending a Portuguese delegation to Andorra in the coming months or next year, with participation from chambers of commerce and relevant ministries to identify interested companies and sustain projects.
