Portugal announces expanded artist mobility scholarships and €100k youth spiritual training fund

The Directorate‑General for the Arts, together with the Camões Institute, the I.P., the Organization of Ibero‑American States for Education, Science and Culture and El Corte Inglés, launched the second edition of the Laç(z)os Artísticos mobility scholarship programme. Twenty scholarships worth €2,250 each will be awarded to residents or nationals of CPLP and Ibero‑American countries, with applications opening on 1 August. Three of the awards are dedicated CPLP youth scholarships for young people from PALOP countries and Timor‑Leste to develop projects in Portugal.

The Fundação Jornada has pledged €100,000 to support youth spiritual formation in Portugal in partnership with the National Department of Youth Pastoral (DNPJ). The funding will finance training programmes, create local meeting spaces for young people and foster network collaboration among organisations working on youth pastoral and spiritual initiatives across the country.
