Portugal advances to roller hockey World Championship quarter-finals

The Portugal national roller hockey team has secured second place in Group A of the World Championship in Asunción, Paraguay, following a decisive 4-0 victory over Italy. This win allowed the team, coached by Reinaldo Ventura, to bounce back after a 4-2 loss to Spain in the second round.

In the match against Italy, Miguel Rocha was a standout performer, scoring a hat-trick. Other goals were contributed by Luís Querido, Gonçalo Alves, and Hélder Nunes. Goalkeeper Xano Edo also received praise for a strong performance that kept a clean sheet.

Portugal's group stage performance included a dominant 10-0 win against Switzerland in their opening match. Having finished second in Group A, Portugal will now advance to the quarter-finals, where they are set to face the third-placed team from Group B, potentially Angola, Chile, or Argentina.
