Portugal festivals spotlight Vagos documentary and Marvão Blaya concert

On 13 August 2026 the auditorium of the Centre for Education and Recreation in Vagos will host a charitable screening of the documentary “Caminhamos Juntos”. The film, created by Frankelim Amaral, follows a pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago and highlights stories of faith, courage and friendship. Admission is a donation of two steps, with all proceeds supporting the Volunteer Firefighters of Vagos.

From 6 to 9 August 2026 the Festival da Juventude in Marvão will feature a performance by Portuguese artist Blaya. The show blends Portuguese folk, Brazilian forró, samba, kizomba and urban music, reflecting the artist’s multicultural influences. The festival offers free entry and a range of activities for young people, including sports, concerts and a flea market.

Both events are part of a broader effort by local municipalities to promote culture, community engagement and charitable causes in Portugal.
