Portugal national team begins Nations League prep under Jorge Jesus

Portugal's national football team has begun its training camp at Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras to prepare for the UEFA Nations League. This marks the start of the ‘era’ under new head coach Jorge Jesus, who succeeded Roberto Martínez in July.

Jesus has named a 25-man squad that includes captain Cristiano Ronaldo. New additions to the roster include goalkeeper Samuel Soares, defender Nuno Tavares, midfielder João Palhinha, and forward Fábio Silva. The team is preparing to defend its Nations League title, starting with a match against Wales at Estádio José Alvalade on September 24. The group stage schedule also includes fixtures against Norway and Denmark.

In addition to training, the squad and technical staff are scheduled to attend the Portugal Football Globes gala organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) in Oeiras.
