Portugal hosts night-time visits at historic Palácio Fronteira and Forte de Santa Luzia

The 17th‑century Palácio Fronteira in Lisbon will open its gardens to the public for two evenings each night from 21:00 to midnight between 14 August and 28 August. The "Jardins Iluminados" project adds soft lighting to highlight the palace’s architecture, sculptures, centuries‑old trees, ornamental fountains and floral labyrinths. Tickets are €10 and can be bought online.

On 29 July, the Forte de Santa Luzia in Elvas welcomed more than 50 participants for a night‑time tour under the municipal "À Noite no Património" programme. Guides Vera Guelha and Fábio Macia led the group through the newly opened museum reserve and the fort's counter‑mines. The next event in the series is scheduled for 12 August at the Forte de Nossa Senhora da Graça, featuring an eclipse observation and the Perseids meteor shower.
