Portugal hosts spider photography show in Vagos and nationwide Ephemera archive exhibitions
The Biblioteca Municipal João Grave in Vagos will host the itinerant photography exhibition “Um Mundo Colorido de Aranhas” from 1 July to 31 August 2026. Curated by Aldiro Pereira, the show features detailed photographs of spiders by Pereira, António Vieira and Fábio Gomes, highlighting the organisms’ diversity, ecological role and visual appeal.
At the same time, the Associação Cultural Ephemera is organising a series of temporary archive exhibitions across Portuguese cities in spring 2026. Venues include Lisbon, Setúbal, Coimbra, Barreiro, Odivelas, Mangualde, Torres Novas, Braga, Palmela, São Luís, Porto and others, presenting historical photographs and themed displays to engage the public with the nation’s visual heritage.
