Portugal hosts summer cultural festivals in Montemor-o-Novo and Alandroal

The Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas returns to Montemor-o-Novo on 2 August 2026, featuring Greek singer‑songwriter Xanthoula Dakovanou, who will present music inspired by Greek, Balkan and Eastern Mediterranean traditions at the Terreiro de São João de Deus.

A separate event, the astronomy session “À Luz das Estrelas,” is scheduled for 14 August 2026 at the historic Fortaleza de Juromenha in Alandroal. The free, registration‑only observation night will allow up to 50 participants to view the night sky under the guidance of the Albireo association, combining scientific outreach with the fortress’s heritage setting.
