Portugal hosts wine and gastronomy events on July 18
On 18 July, the historic Castelo de Noudar in Barrancos, Alentejo, will hold the “Sob as Estrelas de Noudar – Vinhos, Sabores e Dark Sky” experience. Organized by the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo with the municipality, the program combines wine tasting of Baixo Alentejo wines, regional cuisine, and astrotourism activities under the Dark Sky Alqueva reserve, including solar and night‑sky observations, lectures on astronomy and the local territory, and live music at sunset.
The same day, Enseada Food and Drinks in Funchal, Madeira, will host a Sunset Wine Dinner. Guests will enjoy a four‑course menu paired with four Portuguese wines from Quinta da Lapa, presented by engineer Jorge Ventura. The dinner, priced at €50 per person, features dishes such as shrimp with goat cheese, low‑temperature cod, herb‑crusted veal, and an almond tart, complemented by a Madeira Barbeito Bual. The venue offers panoramic Atlantic views from the first floor of the Clube Naval do Funchal.
