Portugal marks local developments in Rio Maior and Moita

In Portugal, a collaboration protocol has been signed to requalify and enhance the Alcobertas Cave in Rio Maior. The agreement between the Alcobertas Parish Council and MGA — Agregados, S. A (Grupo Parapedra) follows the site's classification as a geosite by the ICNF. The project aims to improve accessibility for wheelchairs, upgrade road access, install electrical networks, and renovate sanitary facilities to boost local tourism.

Separately, the municipalities of Moita, Portugal, and Plaisir, France, celebrated 50 years of twinning. An official delegation from Plaisir met with Moita's municipal leadership to mark the milestone, which includes 50 years of connection to Baixa da Banheira and 25 years of official ties with the Moita municipality. The meeting served to introduce new municipal representatives and reinforce institutional cooperation between the two regions.
